Version 1.6.3
In this version, we introduced cost accounting for assets, created more functionality for managing individual elements in composite assets, and improved how those elements are shown graphically. Field auto-completion mechanism has been upgraded to reduce manual operations in various ITAM entities. Besides, this version contains new system properties that make out-of-the box reservation processes more flexible when reserving assets for demand items.
Another major update is support for scanning asset barcodes with a mobile phone camera for inventory tasks.
Demonstration data in Russian and English have been updated for you to explore the latest features of the application.
We fixed issues with specification files in Purchase Requests and with the asset list in the Registration tasks. Large JSON data is now processed without interruptions.
Improvements
Scan asset barcodes with a mobile phone camera
The inventory widget now supports automatic barcode scanning with a mobile phone camera. When you point the camera at a barcode, the system displays asset information and any errors. For example, an error appears if the scanned asset ID is missing from the system or not included in the inventory list. If a barcode is unreadable, you can enter it manually, and you can specify the quantity of items for consignment consumptions.
You can pause the inventory process and resume it later. All collected data is saved.
Information about scanned assets is saved in the widget. After scanning, the system compares the declared asset list to the scanned assets and generates an inventory report.

Reserve assets from stocks of different companies
We have improved asset reservation for demand items. A new system property, itam.demand.any_company_stock_reservation, has been added to the "out-of-the-box" version. When enabled, you can reserve assets for demand items from any company stock, not only the company stock of the specified cost center.

Specification template auto-completion from a purchase order
The specification template available on the purchase request form now automatically includes the list of asset nomenclatures from the purchase list. Users only need to add the purchase prices for each item to complete the specification.

Asset and consignment consumption relation
An Asset field has been added to the consignment consumption form. This field shows which asset the consignment consumption was reserved for or allocated to during upgrading and maintenance tasks.
A Child Elements related list has been added to the asset form. This list displays consignment consumptions reserved for or allocated to that asset.

Hierarchical relations display optimization
To make asset relationships easier to view and follow, we adjusted the layout so connecting lines do not cross.
Total cost and currency on the asset form
New fields Total cost and Currency are added into the General tab of the asset form. Users with the admin and itam_admin role can edit the fields in this version. Autocompletion of the fields will be introduced in the next versions.
Aside from this, a new data format is introduced in the displayable name – the new format is DD-MM-YYYY.

Preview form
We changed the set of fields in the record preview window for some ITAM tables. Now you can see more useful information by hovering over a record in a Reference field without opening it.
Manufacturer field autocompletion in nomenclatures
We have added a Manufacturer field to the nomenclature form. The value in this field is copied from the Vendor field in the related configuration item record so you can get more item information without having to navigate to related records.
Demonstration data
The new demonstration data package includes updates supporting version 1.6.3 functionality. Namely:
- 10 hierarchies per active demonstration stock. Each hierarchy contains 57 assets, which are consolidated into composite assets, such as DSS.
- Three system properties that define the number and set of assets to be created and grouped within the hierarchies.
- Updated permissions for user groups: the ITAM-PURCHASE-MANAGERS, ITAM-DEMAND-MANAGERS, and ITAM-OPERATIONS groups now have read access to ITAM Actual Cost Items.
- A new user group: ITAM-FINANCE-MANAGERS with the itam_finance_manager role.
- Two new users with the itam_finance_manager role. One of these users is designated as the Responsible user for the ITAM-FINANCE-MANAGERS group.
- A new role for the ITAM-OPERATIONS group: itam_endpoint_user, required for working with the ITAM endpoints.
- Job title updates: The job title for all demonstration users with the surname Validator has been updated to Asset Quality Specialist.
- Field population logic updated to match version 1.6.3 functionality.

Fixes
DEF0021866: When loading a list of assets with duplicate serial numbers during a registration task, the Serial number is not unique error displayed incomplete information. In this version, the information in the Nomenclature and serial number field in the related Errors list shows full details.
DEF0021784: Asset registration was interrupted with an error when the JSON file exceeded 4000 characters. In this version, the system supports registering more than 100 assets at once within a single task, with values in the nomenclature's Model values over 20 characters, Serial number over 40 characters, and Part number over 40 characters.
DEF0021740: The filename for the asset list automatically added to a registration task from a purchase order was incorrect. In this version, the filename is generated with a correct name.
DEF0021576: In the previous version of the application, loading a specification file failed if not all cells in the asset list were filled or if the list contained an empty row. In this version, a new file processing error, Empty value, has been added to help identify missing cells.
DEF0021566: An error occurred when sequentially registering assets with the same serial number when only one of the two assets had a Part number, which contradicted the ITAM business logic. Now, under these conditions, two asset records are created, as the system recognizes the uniqueness of the combination Serial number + Part number / its absence.
DEF0021141: We fixed the date format shown for contract records on assets. The format changed from YYYY-MM-DD to DD-MM-YYYY. If you update your ITAM instance to version 1.6.3, follow the version update instructions to apply these changes.
