Product Module
A product module is a software element that delivers measurable value to the consumer. Products are divided into modules depending on the product structure to simplify the management of the product and its tasks.

Create product module
To create a new product module, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to SDLC → Products → All Product Modules or SDLC → Manage Products → My Product Modules.
- Click New and fill in the form fields.
- Click Save or Save and Exit to apply the changes.

You can also create a product module from the Product Modules related list located on the SDLC Product form.
Product Module form fields
Field | Mandatory | Description |

Name | Y | Specify the name of the product module. The project code in square brackets is automatically added to the product module name after saving the record. For instance, if the project code is [ITSM], the titles of the product modules are: [ITSM] User Queries, [ITSM] Service Level Management. |

State | N | Select the state of the product module. Available options:

Product | Y | Specify the product from which this module is derived. The field is filled in automatically if the Parent module is specified. You can change this value. |
Parent module | N | Specify the parent module if the current record extends on an existing module. If the Product is specified, you can only select from the modules of this product. |
Module owner | Y | Specify a product module owner employee. The field is filled in automatically if the Parent module is specified. You can change this value. |
Work notes | N | Specify additional information about the product module development. |
Two widgets are displayed on the product module form: Choice Timeline Widget and Activity Feed with Work notes tab.
Apart from that, the following related lists are present on the form:
- Child Modules – the list of product modules for which the current record is a parent module.
- Projects – the list of projects to which this module is related.
