ITAM-ITSM Connector

ITAM-ITSM connector setup


  1. Go to Preferences → Admin Preferences by clicking the icon and select ITAM in the Application field.
  2. Navigate to Configuration → Local Packs, create a local pack in the ITAM application, and set it current and save.
  3. Add the Service Request, Change Request, and Authorized in ITSM fields on the following ITAM task forms:
    • Change of Stock (itam_stock_change)
    • Change of Responsible (itam_new_responsible)
    • Asset Maintenance (itam_asset_maintenance)
    • Asset Decommissioning (itam_asset_depreciation)
    • Asset Upgrading (itam_asset_upgrading)
  4. Lock inline editing for the Service Requests, Change Request, and Authorized in ITSM fields in the ITAM tasks (itam_tasks) table. To do so, complete the following steps:
Lock inline editing
  1. Navigate to the ITAM Tasks ({instance URL}/list/itam_tasks).
  2. In the burger menu , select Configure → Table.

You can also find and open the ITAM Tasks (itam_tasks) record in the table list {URL экземпляра}/list/sys_db_table.

  1. Click Configure inline editing.
  2. Ensure the Lock all columns except those specified below checkbox is cleared in the Configure inline editing modal window.
  3. Add the Service request, Change request, and Authorized in ITSM fields to the Columns field in the modal window.
  4. Click Apply.
  1. Configure inline editing for the Service Requests, Change Request, and Authorized in ITSM fields for the following tables:
  • Change of Stock (itam_stock_change)
  • Change of Responsible (itam_new_responsible)
  • Asset Maintenance (itam_asset_maintenance)
  • Asset Decommissioning (itam_asset_depreciation)
  • Asset Upgrading (itam_asset_upgrading)
Complete the following steps for each table
  1. Navigate to ITAM → Tasks → one of the tasks listed above.
  2. In the burger menu , select Configure → Table.

You can also find and open the required table record in the table list {URL экземпляра}/list/sys_db_table.

  1. Click Configure inline editing. If the modal window that opens reads "Already configured. The settings of the ITAM Task parent will be overridden in the current table.", skip steps 4 – 6.
  2. Ensure the Lock all columns except those specified below checkbox is cleared in the modal window.
  3. Add the following fields to the Columns field:
  • Service request
  • Change request
  • Authorized in ITSM
  1. Click Apply.
  1. Add the following related lists to the Asset (itam_asset) table form:
  • Service Requests
  • Incidents
  • Incidents
  • Change Requests
  1. Complete the local pack from step 2.
  2. Switch to the ITSM application in the Admin Preferences.
  3. Create a local pack in the ITSM application, set it current and save.
  4. Make the following changes to ITSM forms:
    1. Add the ITAM Tasks > Service Request related list to the Service Requests (itsm_request) table form.
      • The name of the related list is ITAM Tasks
      • List layout is Display name, Table, State, Subject, State, Assignment group, Assigned user, Updated by, Updated at
    2. Add the ITAM Tasks > Change Request related list to the Change Requests (itsm_change_request) table form..
      • The name of the related list is ITAM Tasks
      • List layout is Display name, Table, State, Subject, State, Assignment group, Assigned user, Updated by, Updated at
    3. Add the Related assets field to the ITSM entity forms – Service Requests, Incidents, Problems, Change Requests.
  5. Complete the local pack from step 9.
  6. Switch to the ITAM application in the Admin Preferences and select the Default local pack.
