Version 1.2.1
New features
ITAM email notifications
We have implemented events for use in custom notifications sent by email to provide recipients with timely and correct information about ITAM tasks. Notifications will be sent when some important fields on the asset form are changed, as well as when the asset and task states change. Thus, when a new user is assigned to a task, they receive a corresponding notification. Read more in the documentation.
Return to stock task
Now you can return assets with an unexpired useful life to the warehouse for more efficient assets utilization, for example, in the event of dismissal or long-term absence of the user. The Return to Stock task can be created from an asset form or from a list of assets.
Improvements
Asset allocation task
- Pending approval state
Added a mandatory approval by the responsible persons or other approvers to the Asset allocation task.
The list of assets becomes uneditable after sending the request for approval. Getting the approval is mandatory for completing the task. If the request is rejected, the task return to the Registered state.
This improvement formalizes the asset allocation procedure and helps the responsible employees to more easily monitor the process.
- Location field
Added logic to specifying the location of permanent location assets in the Asset allocation task.
Thus, if an asset is a permanent location one, the assigned user must specify the location of such an asset in a modal window when completing the task. The specified value is then shown on the form of allocated permanent location in the Location field. If an asset is not a permanent location one, the Location field fills in automatically with the value of the same-name field in the User form.
This improvement provides users with accurate information on the premises where the permanent location asset is operated.
Role model
Optimized role model: users with the itam_contract_manager role are no longer denied access to reading stock records. Having the itam_agent basic role is enough to read the records.
Fixes
DEF0018457: Adjusted the behavior of the Allocate to and Stock fields in the Asset allocation task to prevent them from being changed without further mandatory approval. When the task is approved, the fields are no longer editable.
DEF0018276: Improved the inventory file processing algorithm: when uploading, the file is checked for duplicate inventory numbers. In case of duplication, a corresponding notification is displayed.
DEF0018176: Fixed a bug due to which, when creating the Asset upgrading task from the asset form, the completed User field was not displayed in the task.
