Budget Items

This table contains budget items for a specific cost center and refers to cost items.

Roles required:

  • Create, editadmin or budget_manager
  • Readadmin, budget_manager or budget_agent

No one can delete budget item records.

Create a budget item


To create a new budget item record, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to BudgetsBudget Items.
  2. Click New and fill in the fields.
  3. Click Save or Save and exit to apply the changes.

Budget Item form fields

NameYSpecify the name of the budget item record.
BudgetYSpecify the budget record which the budget item is created for.
Cost centerNSpecify the cost center that is related to the budget item record.
Cost categoryYSpecify the cost category which the budget item is created for.
Cost typeY

Select a cost type. Available options:

  • CAPEX
  • OPEX
Planned limitNEnter the budget limit for the budget item.
Actual costsNEnter the actual cost of the budget item.
SavingsNSpecify how much savings are made.
CurrencyNSelect the currency that was used to specify values of the Planned limit, Actual costs, and Savings fields.
StateN

Select the record state. Available options:

  • Draft
  • Approval
  • Valid
  • Not valid
Fiscal periodYSpecify the fiscal period for the budget item.
Work notesNProvide additional information.

The Activty Feed widget with the History and Work Notes tabs is available on the form of a saved record.

Each budget item record receives a unique displayable name after saving the record. The name is generated according to the following template: BDIXXXXXXX Name. Example: BDI0000032 Equipment update.

Related Lists

  • Planned Cost Items – a list of planned cost items for the budget item.
  • Actual Cost Items – a list of actual cost items in the allocated budget.
