Version 1.13.0
We continue to enhance the handling of change templates to achieve the primary goal of change management: increasing the number of necessary improvements to services and products while minimizing negative impact on the consumers.
When a change is successfully implemented, it is a good practice to create a template to speed up the preparation of similar changes. Such a template includes record field values, an execution plan, task decomposition, associated IT services, configuration items, and other attributes.
To facilitate the quick creation of a change request from a template, we have introduced a UI action and added a reference to the template from which the request originated on the change request form. Additionally, we have improved translations for system elements to enhance the product quality.
New features
You can now create a change request using a template directly from the list interface or record form. For this purpose, we have added a UI action Create from template that opens a modal window where you can select the required template in the In use state.
If the template has predefined change tasks and configured task chains for various phases, a relevant field message appears under the template field. If there are more than five tasks, a progress bar is displayed in the modal window, allowing you to track the request creation process.
After creating the change request, you will automatically be redirected to the record page.
Improvements
We have added a new Original template field to the change request form. This field displays the template used during creation, allowing you to trace the source of the record.
If a request is created without a template, a corresponding badge appears on the record form, and this field is hidden.
