Metrics

To create a traffic light scorecard, first set up the metrics that will be used to evaluate the performance of monitoring objects.

Create a data source


Before creating the metrics, set up a data source from which the data will be taken to calculate the KPI.

To do so, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Traffic Light Scorecard → Metric Data Sources.
  2. Click New and complete the Table field.
  3. Click Save or Save and exit to apply the changes.

To delete a source record, go to the burger menu and click Delete. If a metric and KPI have already been created based on the data source, the metric records and their values ​​will be deleted in all monitoring cells of the traffic light report.

To delete multiple sources, select the required records in the list and click Delete. In the modal window that opens, you can go to the list of metrics related to the sources.

Create a metric


Once you created the data sources necessary for the metric, create the metric itself. It will be used to calculate the KPI of the monitoring object.

To do so, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Traffic Light Scorecard → Metrics.
  2. Click New and complete the necessary fields.
  3. Click Save or Save and exit to apply the changes.

Metric typeYSelect the metric type. Available options:
  • Amount (pcs) – counts the number of records in the final selection, taking into account the specified conditions.
  • Time (hr) – sums up the time indicators of the table column in hours. A column of type Duration is used for the calculation.
  • Aggregation – sums up the numerical indicators of the table column.
  • Proporion (%) – correlates two indicators and creates the percentage between them.
Once a record is created, the field becomes read-only.
Data sourceYSpecify the data source the records of which will be used to calculate the KPI.
Sum by columnYSpecify the Data source column by which the values ​​of the data source records will be summed.
Monitoring object columnYSpecify the Data Source column that references the monitoring object table.
Date and time columnYSpecify the Data source column by which the value of the KPI created on the basis of the metric will be related to the specified period of the traffic light report.
Filter conditionsNSpecify the conditions for the records that will be used to calculate the metric.
Numerator filter conditionsYSpecify conditions for the records. The number of records that meet the condition will be used as the numerator for metrics of type Proportion (%). The field appears when the Proportion (%) option is selected in the Metric type field.
Denominator filter conditionsYSpecify conditions for the records. The number of records that meet the condition will be used as the denominator for metrics of type Proportion (%). The field appears when the Proportion (%) option is selected in the Metric type field.

In the History section, the Activity Feed widget is available for viewing changes to a metric record.

To delete a metric record, go to the burger menu and click Delete. If a KPI has already been created based on the metric, the metric values ​​will be deleted in all monitoring cells of the traffic light report.

To delete multiple metrics, select the required record in the list and click Delete. In the modal window that opens, you can go to the list of reports related to the metrics.
